Almost engulfed by the ever-expanding university campus, this is a predominantly student-oriented pub. Up to four real ales can be available, with Dartmoor Jail Ale and St Austell Tribute being the regulars, supplemented by beers such as Dartmoor Legend, St Austell Proper Job, Butcombe Original, Brains SA Gold, Caledonia Golden XPA and Salcombe Gold also featuring occasionally. The pub opens from 1100 in April or 1200 in May and in summer - see pub website for details. There is a pub quiz on Tuesday evenings from 2030 and pizza meal deals every day from 1700 - 2000.
