This pub is now permanently closed and change of use to housing granted.

Situated in the western part of the city, it lies between Stoke Village and Plymouth Albion's Brickfields rugby ground. Sharp's Atlantic is usually available, and is supplemented by an ever-changing regional guest ale. The pub was built c1890 and is a well-kept secret. There are two main seating areas within this open-plan pub, which has a large and airy conservatory and a partially covered beer garden. Traditional games are played, with teams for darts, pool and euchre. Full wheelchair access is via the garden - please ring ahead. Please note with the Landlord retiring, this pub closed on the 27th Oct 2018.

Planning application reference number 21/00317/FUL, dated Mon 22 Feb 2021, proposed "Change of use of ground floor from public house (Class A4) to additional living accommodation as part of existing upper floor dwelling (Class C3)". Granted conditionally 26/03/2021.
