This Pub is Permanently Closed

A large attractive Victorian town pub with an ornate frontage incorporating the name of 'Phipps & Co', a local brewery that was sited 50 yards over the nearby bridge on the present site of the Carlsberg brewery. Inside the pub is open and modern with a central oval bar for drinkers and two dining areas. A lovely patio garden is to the rear. Closing 19 March 2023.
