This Pub is Closed Long Term

Sitting back from the main road, the pub has been under the same ownership since 1990. There is a seated area outside, whilst once inside, a L-shaped bar can be found. With its locality to the USAF base in the village, it provides US visitors a taste of a real English pub with real ale.

This pub is currently closed for business. Is advertised as To Let as of October 2024.

Active Campaign

After being well run for 37 years by the same publicans, this pub closed in October 2024. It is currently being advertised as To Let. As a central hub for the community, there is great desire for this pub to be re-opened. There is an small group of locals within the village of Croughton who are actively gathering information and support to ascertain how this might be possible. There is also support from the wider community for this to happen. In a central location within the village and on the main road through it, this site has excellent potential to once again serve the community, those on the nearby base and to welcome passers-by.
