This Pub is Closed Long Term

Rambling old hotel, with some parts said to be 400 years old, with masses of wood panelling, and reported ghosts sightings. Closed by owners who unsuccessfully sought planning permission for demolition and housing 03/04/2019. This was refused by Spelthorne Borough Council on 12/06/2019 due to flood and conservation area concerns. The Developers appealed, but the Planning Inspector dismissed the appeal on the same grounds on 16/12/2019. The premises remains closed, and future uncertain.
