Ex-Watney's pub - remember them? - with a fine portrait of the Prince Regent on its sign. A single bar town centre local, laminate floors and modern furnishings, with accommodation available upstairs. One ale usually London Pride, and food menu features south-Asian dishes as well as more traditional pub grub, with traditional roasts on Sunday, and takeaways also available. Handy for local shops and a short walk to historic St Peter's Church and Abbey Fields.
