30/09/19 - Conversion of public house to Nisa Local in May 2018 without planning permission. Enforcement notice issued by Camden Council. Public enquiry to be held 10am, 1st Oct 2019. Planning Inspectorate reference: APP/X5210/C/18/3207640. Reason for enquiry: Appeal by Bryanston Investments Limited against the enforcement issued by Camden Council. The notice alleges alternations made to frontage and change of use from public house to retail convenience store.
30/5/18 Conversion to supermarket is currently underway - as reported by Ham & High newspaper, and the subject of much local & Twitter controversy. A clear breach of the 2017 Amendment to the GPDO removing PD rights iro pubs. News article indicates that Camden Council is investigating but to be on the safe side have also logged a formal Enforcement report on the Camden website today, drawing their attention to the new Amendment to the GPDO in 2017.
Still boarded up at Sept 2016. Their website says they are closed for a six-month refurb, message dated at the end of March 2016. That website is now defunct. In Dec 2015 an appeal was allowed for "Conversion of the building to create five self-contained residential flats on the upper floors, comprising a single storey roof extension and three storey rear extension. " Application Number2014/4554/P. In Oct 2017, "This pub was still boarded up with scaffold to the upper floors as of yesterday."
