06/10/24 - from Hospitality & Catering News "Polygon Public House will open a third pub with bedrooms, The Florence in Islington, in 2025."

Full license applied for 09/03/23 - so if succesful might then reopen.

Closed "for refurbishment" and has been for some time but has signs that refurb is actually going to be carried out. Permitted development application approved 20 November 2013 to convert to retail.

For old times sake, this was how it was -

Just set off Upper Street, a beautiful tiled exterior hides an interior of eclectic decorative styles, ranging from bare brick through painted walls to papered areas. There is a lovely bar-back with etched mirrors, chandeliers, a pool table at one end and a dart board at the other. The seating area wraps itself around and to the back of the bar indicating signs of its former multi-roomed layout. Food available and live music from time to time.
