Friendly village community pub, described as being "one of the most beautiful pubs in south east Wales". Reopened after a year of closure in mid-2026 following a large investment from the two new experienced licensees (Richard Humphries and Richard Battye) and Admiral Taverns. The licensees have worked in hospitality for several decades, and also run a second pub in Aust (Boars Head).
The drinks range includes up to three different cask ales at any one time, including house beer 'Rose Inn Community Beer', from which 5p from every pint goes towards St Davids Hospice.
There is a big emphasis on well prepared home cooked (not brought in) food.
Note there is a demand response transport (DRT) bus service which needs to be pre-booked via Newport Bus - (01633) 670563 / www.newportbus.co.uk.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers (Awaiting info on beer selection) and 0 regular beers.
