The emphasis in this welcoming, homely local is very much on the ales offered and conversation. The landlord and brewer, occasionally has his own (Borough Brewery) ales on tap, but there is always a good choice from regional breweries. sold from four hand pumps (plus one real cider) on the horseshoe-shaped bar, to the delight of the locals. The single room has a traditional and comfortable “front room” style to it.
The pub holds an annual "GlastonBorough" festival on the late May bank holiday, featuring live music, plus has a beer festival over the August bank holiday. Well worth the ten minute walk from the town centre. Be advised, the pub is Cash only!
