The historic and picturesque Refreshment Rooms at The Old Railway Station is now a freehold public house and restaurant. Interestingly this pub dates back to approx. 1890, when the Railway station was still in operational use and lots of the original features are included within the original room layout with high ceilings and log fires still present and there is an added wooden patio to the side. The rooms arrangement allow a lounge at the left with the restaurant behind, with the other three public rooms all used as bar areas, with the one at the end being the games room. All rooms have historic pictures of either railways or inside the local coal mine.
