This Pub is Permanently Closed

Originally three cottages knocked into one. From 1936 to 1967 it was a hotel & restaurant, later becoming a pub. It was believed to be a free house but was owned by SFI (later Laurel) at the time of closure. Stood derelict from around 2007 to 2009 until the inevitable fire when a squatter died. Demolition soon followed and the care home which the council kept turning down was eventually built.
