History: the unusual design of the exterior may have put many folk off visiting this pub, but it was a comfortably appointed and well-run pub. When it first opened it was called the Moss Rose. An extensive refit had very considerably improved the interior decor of this once welcoming pub, with its pleasant vault and well appointed lounge. A quiz was on Wednesdays and a disco on Saturdays. Lunches 12-3.
Historic Interest
New-build house for Hydes Brewery, named the Moss Rose.
