Converted 21/1/2008 to Village restaurant. Closed 21/1/2008. Planning Application 092980/FO/2010/S1 | Retrospective Application for part enclosed seating area in association with existing restaurant. Granted 2/8/2010.

History: One-time large Bass house. Dabbled with cask in the past. CAMRA magazine "What's Doing" described it thus in the March 1978 edition - '"...has an unusual facade with a row of large, round-headed windows and two entrances. Inside, there is a very plain public bar, and a large back lounge. The other door leads on to a more basic vault".
