This Pub is Permanently Closed

Demolished 1/1/1979, site is now road scheme. Closed 1/1/1979. History: Former street-corner Robinson's house set in the shadow of a railway bridge carrying the line to Tiviot Dale. The address was late Heaton Lane, in shadow of former railway bridge (only two iron columns remain as a marker of the site). At the bottom of Georges Road. Closed for M63 CPO - assume closed 1979 like similar nearby pubs. Stockport Archive photos show pub open in 1978.
