This Pub is Permanently Closed

Demolished 1/5/1995, site is now road scheme 1990s. Closed 1/5/1995. History: Former Chesters, latterly a Whitbread house occupying a prominent junction spot, hence its name. Oct 1993 Opening Times magazine reported reopened; Opening Times magazine June 1995 reported closed; Opening Times magazine Jan 2002 - demolished and now a rubble-strewn croft.
