This Pub is Permanently Closed

Demolished c.1/9/2004, site is now housing. Closed 1/12/2003. History: Smart new-build Hydes house from c.1/1/1982, built to replace an earlier Denmark Hotel sited on the corner of Lloyd Street North and Denmark Road. Neat two-room interior with Lounge and Vault. Sold Hydes Anvil Mild and Bitter via metered electric dispense. Its demise seemed very strange after a mere 20 years of trading... Planning Application 071056/FO/2004/S1 | Erection of a part 3 part 4 storey building to form 82 self contained flats with basement parking and landscaping. Granted 30/7/2004.
