This Pub is Permanently Closed
Pub closed on 29th September 2016. It has been sold by Holts Brewery to private owners.
A planning application to turn it into a private dwelling was made in September 2017.
Planning permission for this conversion was granted in December 2017.
For information here is the description prior to closure:
A large red brick and terracotta corner pub built for Holts in 1904. The pub remains largely unaltered and still has a stable block in the back yard. There is a lobby running from the entrance on Barton Lane to that on Corporation Road. The central bar serves this lobby and the large vault. There are two rooms off the lobby, one with a pool table and the other a comfortable lounge. A corridor leads from the lobby to a large back room. Wednesday - Quiz night, Thursday - Jam night, Fri, Sat, & Sun - various karaoke, DJ and singalong nights.
