Originally opened in December 2014 but was refurbished in March 2024.
This is a pub conversion from a longstanding building. Up to six beers from Hydes Brewery are served. This bar and boutique hotel is named after a former mayor of Manchester, the town hall clock that can be heard all over the city centre is named 'Great Abel' after him. The main bar area with 6 hand pumps is a large L-shaped room on the ground floor. The first floor is a restaurant/bar. that is not usually used mid-week except for events. Breakfast is available from 8:30am and main meals from 12am but the bar is not open for alcohol sales until 11am.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers (Various Hydes and their small batch craft ranges) and 3 regular beers.
