This Pub is Closed Long Term

The Fox and Grapes was a former Matthew Brown pub which featured in the very first GBG in 1974. It closed as a pub in 2012 and was converted into a cocktail bar, the Beachcomber but has now re-opened as a 'craft ale with retro gaming' bar. Customers can sample ale and lagers from award-winning breweries such as Tiny Rebel and Cloudwater while playing iconic arcade games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Street Fighter II.

Older photos of the original pub are by Jim Holderness and Alexander P Kapp, which shows the pub alongside the (next door) Exchange, which is now also closed.
