This Pub is Permanently Closed
Probably the most popular Boddington's pub in Preston, this great little boozer was on Fishergate, just a short walk from the station. Easily distinguished by it's pale blue tile frontage it closed in 1987 and was demolished as part of the Fishergate Shopping Centre development.
Our main image comes from the Preston Digital archive and shows the blue tiled frontage with the name picked out in black tiles as well as the Boddington's sign.
The monochrome image shows an earlier version of the same building. At some stage the top floor has been removed and a new roof profile and the distinctive tiles have been added. This image courtesy of the Preston Inns, Taverns & Beerhouses Blogspot.
