This Pub is Closed Long Term
King John is reputed to have stayed at a hostelry on this site in 1216, and King Charles I in 1646 after his defeat at Naseby. Situated in the middle of town there is a large front seating area that leads to the main bar, with more seating to the rear. The hotel now has 5 guest rooms available.
