Restaurant and accommodation.
The Glenuig Inn itself dates back to mid 18th century with 2 ft thick walls. Modernised with energy efficiency in mind, the building is further clad in insulation. With additional energy saving credentials including low energy lighting, and solar water heater this is one of the most energy conscious and environmentally neutral public houses in all of Scotland winning many Green tourism awards.
In keeping with the "green ethos" you are encouraged not to arrive by car, but you will not be turned away if you do take the 45 minute, 35 mile drive from Fort William travelling through some of the most attractive scenery.
No real ale is on offer, and is unlikely to be so for a while.
Community Owned & Run
Glenuig Inn was leased and run by a community benefit society, Glenuig Community Inn Ltd, who raised funds to buy the Inn, and they opened a share offer, and raised ÂŁ300k by July 2025. With a grant from the Scottish Land Fund they completed the purchase of the pub in July 2025.
