The Brown Trout does not serve real ale (yet) but is included so as to include all the licensed premises in the Highlands & Western Isles Branch Area.

The Brown Trout is well placed for exploring Caithness but, of course, fishing has to be top of the list with the loch virtually adjacent to the hotel, and may well stocked lochs within the area. The hotel even offers fridge and freezer for your catch.

Other than single, double and family rooms, self catering accommodation is also available.

The nearest railway station is Wick, although the train calls at Thurso first, twice the distance away. Buses to Watten from Thurso and Wick.
