An old coaching inn dating back to 1815, is a very popular with cycling "end to enders" as their last (or first) stop before John O'Groats 80 miles away. Many guests are so impressed they return again and again.

In April 2017 the previous owners, Mike & Kai Geldard gifted the Crask Inn to the Scottish Episcopal Church and now live just down the road in what was the bunkhouse.

Douglas & Denise Campbell now manage the pub on behalf of the Church, and continue to offer a full bar and food service with the added dimension of a religious service on the premises on the third Thursday of every month.

Although the business plan is to develop the Crask as a spiritual retreat, a warm welcome is extended to all, irrespective of religious belief.

There is a small but functional cosy bar kept warm by a peat burning stove and separate dining area offering filling meals for a very reasonable price.

If the four rooms are full, you are welcome to pitch a tent in the garden.

In short, there is always room at the inn!

Due to its location, the mobile coverage is poor, and there is no (customer) internet nor Wi-Fi. Electricity is care of a generator and batteries.

The Transport for Tongue (service 2) operates in the morning but only operates on a Wednesday, with the same operator offering an Inverness (service 5) on the last Saturday of the month (Jan-Nov) 1st & 3rd Saturdays in December.

Enquiries for Transport for Tongue (01847) 611766, or its website.

There are two fonts offering Black Isle keg beer. A visit in late July 2022 reports no cask ale being sold here.
