Old Glove Works, Glossop

2008 GBG description: This converted former mill is completely free of tie, selling six changing beers from local and regional breweries. A roof terrace and front patio afford views over Glossop Brook and Harehills Park. Thursday from 5pm is curry night, always with a vegetarian option, followed b a quiz. Friday and Saturday are disco nights, and on Sunday a live group or artist performs. An age restriction of 25 ensures a trouble-free atmosphere although children are admitted during the day at the landlord's discretion.

A fire in the neighbouring property September or October 2007 caused extensive smoke damage and the pub never reopened after that. The site became derelict until redevelopment 2015/2016 with most of the old buildings renovated for housing.
