This 18th century pub was the first ever Harvey's tied house. Welcoming with its comfortable wooden furniture, floors and panelled walls, the beer range always includes Harveys Sussex Best Bitter at all times and two seasonal Harvey's ales, with one or two more affered in the summr months. A wide selection of home cooked meals at lunch and dinner sessions are offered, Sunday roasts are particularly popular as are its wide selection of pies. It has its own campsite complete with shower and toilet, with the availability of a shepherd's hut. To the rear are garden seating and a large car park. The pub hosts many local events.
The pub is popular with walkers as the pub is close to the 1066 Country walk and is dog friendly throughout.
