Built in 1663, and a pub since 1760, the Countryman is a one bar, split-level pub. The interior boasts some well executed carvings dating from the 1970s on the bar front, an impressive fireplace and some obscure agricultural implements. Usually three real ales and a cider (in the summer) are available. Beer range varies. This is a pub where social networking happens in the bar. There are chickens in the garden to look at. Note the restricted opening hours.
