This Pub is Closed Long Term
This village pub, pleasantly situated at a wide road junction, may derive its name from the former racecourse at Roils Head. The large bar-lounge is separated into smaller areas by low walls, topped by platforms containing troughs of stone chippings. Much of the wall space is diagonally boarded, whilst an ironwork divider carries an H & J monogram. The L-shaped tap room, converted from what were originally cottages, has its own small bar. Apart from the beer and company, entertainment consists of discos and karaoke events. There's a beer garden, with children's play equipment, at the rear of the pub.
