This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Tradesman's Arms was situated on the main A226 Road at its junction with Milestone Road. It commenced trading in 1781 and served the local area for over 200 years until its closure in 1995. For much of the 20th century it had been a tied Courage house. After closure it was converted into an Indian restaurant (see photo).
Alas, beyond that little is known of this pub, despite its relatively recent demise. So if anyone has any further information, or a photograph of the pub as a going concern, we would be delighted to hear from you - please use the feedback facility to get in touch.
