This Pub is Permanently Closed
The New Town Tavern opened in 1867 to serve as a watering hole for the then recently-developed New Town area of Dartford. It was part of the Truman's tied estate in its latter days but little is known of its early history and if anyone has further information we would be pleased to hear from you - please use the feedback form.
During the 1950s the landlord was Eric Sutton. Sadly the pub's popularity eventually waned and it closed its doors for the last time in 1995. It has since been converted to residential accommodation.
