This Pub is Closed Long Term
The Bricklayers Arms traded from 1862 to 1999. The archive image indicates that in the early 20th century it was part of the tied estate of the nearby Kidd's brewery, but it later traded as a Truman's house. Despite excellent stewardship and a healthy turnover in the 1980s and 1990s, it was closed by the pub owning company and became a pizza takeaway. The pub had become a free house in its last few years and was GBG listed.
