This Pub is Closed Long Term

Very traditional pub, built in 1793 as a private cottage, and licensed in early Victorian times. The landlord has been in residence since 1978, probably the longest serving for miles around, and has built up a loyal local following. Keen supporter of charities including a large collection for Cancer Research. Many old prints and photographs adorn the walls and there is a collection of war memorabilia in a cabinet. Large selection of malt whiskies, especially Irish. Next door to the railway station and the closest pub to Travelodge on the other side of the railway line.

Closed on New Year's Eve 2023.
