This Pub is Closed Long Term
The Greyhound was situated on the A225 to the north of the village centre. It traded for 140 years from 1875 and like almost all pubs on the A225 had been a Courage tied house in the late 20th century. It was the scene of a double murder in 1875, one of the victims being the then landlord. After several temporary closures, it served its last pint in 2015.
The Greyhound is now (2020) lost to the village permanently, as it has been converted into residential accommodation.
