The Railway Inn re-opened on in April 2017 after being taken over by Rhymney Brewery and undergoing extensive refurbishment. The pub has been opened up into a large drinking and dining area with a central bar serving three real ales from the Rhymney stable. There is a very busy food trade and the garden and children's play area make it popular with families.
