A secluded hotel worth finding. Look for the railway viaduct near the A80/B816 junction. The Forth and Clyde Canal and Antonine Way and remains of this Roman wall and a fort are also close by, making it a handy place for travelers to stop. The hotel was renown for its real ale for many years interest in it declined and real ale was taken off the menu in 2019.
