This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
This historic club was home to the Shepherd's Society from 1896 until the 1920s, following which it was a cinema. From the 1930s the Conservatitve Club has occupied this building. Today, the club is home to three real ales, a friendly welcome, beautifully uphostered seating and both darts boards and a pool table. CAMRA members can be signed in as guests or you can join for just £20 per year (correct at April 26) and £10 for pensioners. In addition to the real ales, there is also Woodforde's Wherry on Keg and a good range of wines and spirits. If the door is closed, simply ring the bell to be admitted.
This Club serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
