This Pub is Permanently Closed

Opened in Oct 97 as an All Bar One owned by M&B. Then operated by 'Zone One Bars' and Free. Reported as converted to ‘Ballroom’ cocktail bar by new owners Zone One Bars, it had previously been renamed ‘Star’ and ‘Apartment. Now Mercer Restaurant. No draught Ale.

Historic Interest

Grade II listing:- 1930-31 by Campbell-Jones Son and Smithers. 3 storeys and 2 roof storeys with dormers. 6 bays. Austere stone building with square headed windows. Engaged balustrade at 1st floor level. Symmetrically placed swags beneath 2nd floor windows. Mutuled cornice and balustrade at parapet level.
