After just over three years’ closure the pub re-opened in November 2023 under the management of Graham and Emma who lease the pub from Heineken’s Star Pub Co. It has undergone a stylish refurbishment with wooden floors and a light and airy feel. Entering through the front door, the bar is straight ahead with spacious seating across sprawling drinking areas left. Around to the left is a large space housing two pool tables and on the right a raised bandstand for Saturday night rock sessions. There are also two dartboards. Two regular ales are available, with a third rotating guest from the Star list. Currently (April 2024) light snacks such as filled rolls available with full food service planned when kitchen refurbished.
