Planning application i DM/21/00702/FPA in to turn into residential March 2021. Turned down following objections. Listed as Asset of Community Value but revoked on appeal. Planning approved on appeal. Will not reopen

Somewhat off the beaten track, this traditional pub has a small cosy bar with open fire and a larger lounge also with an open fire. The beers are sourced by the landlord, including up to seven cask ales and a real cider on handpull, with LocAle always featured; The pub is reputed to be haunted. Beer festivals are held in May. Voted local CAMRA branch Country Pub of the Year 2017.
