Two former cottages, brightly lit after dark have been smartly modernised without losing their cottage feel. This free house has low beamed ceilings, wooden-clad interior walls and a pleasant garden. Entrance from the front road side is straight into the bar which has its own pleasant seating. To the left is a good sized room with table seating and fire place. To the right of the bar is a lovely front room. Behind this is another smaller room with wood panelling all around. The adjoining restaurant serves good food.

Elvaston Castle Country Park, former estate to the Earls of Harrington is nearby.
