This Pub is Permanently Closed

This was the last remaining pub of what was originally a trio of such establishments around Thornton Heath Pond (which has long since lost its water). Following the granting of planning application 16/05856/FUL by Croydon Council on 18 May 2017, the pub was demolished in March 2019. The application was for its replacement by a mix of retail or business use, and housing.

Was a Noakes & Co pub until they were taken over by Courage in 1930
