This Pub is Permanently Closed

Spacious pub in the 1930s 'road house' style, which opened in 1935. A previous building on the site was a 19th century mansion, and part of the Jacobean style decorated plaster ceiling of the mansion has been retained in the pub's Garden Room. An off licence built with the pub is now a carpet showroom. The pub has now closed in preparation for demolition and the building of an Asda supermarket, which Sutton Council approved on 21 January 2015.
