A hotel with bar & restaurant open to non-residents.

Up market hotel, formally a 17th century nunnery and manor house, retaining its original oak beams and real fires. Rumours still abound of a secret tunnel between the hotel and nearby Vale Royal Abbey, presumably to facilitate illicit meetings between the nuns and monks! Remains open till 11.30 Fri & Sat when a function is being held. Breakfast served from 7am weekdays and 8am weekends. Occasional live music.
