Vibrant country pub on the village edge still undergoing some internal renovation. Low ceilings, stone-tiled floors wood panelling, exposed sandstone walls and a wood-burner, all add to the traditional ambience. Watch cricket from the sunny beer garden in summer. It is also handy for visiting Budworth Common and Oulton Park racing circuit. The pub holds regular quizzes, live music, cookery events, car meets, book clubs and beer festivals. It has a widescreen TV for sports events.
