A very good example of a typical Cheshire local and enterprising community pub. Extensively refurbished under the current owners, who also run the George & Dragon, Holmes Chapel. The pub has a more open plan feel with an emphasis on dining while specializing in local ales including three rotating beers from a range of local breweries often from Cheshire. As a variation from the local theme, each month they feature a brewer from a different region with one cask ale plus one keg beer.
