18th Century Grade II three storey listed brick building, famous for being the ticket office for the Stockton & Darlington Railway, when the pub was known as the Union Hotel, and named after the horse drawn railway carriage 'Union' which worked the Stockton to Eaglescliffe line.

Narrow pub in the centre of the High Street offering food, a beer garden and outside smoking area. Open for breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays from 8.30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
