A one bar public house with two rooms. Welcoming old fireplace in the main bar. A friendly atmosphere awaits you here. Dog & child friendly, with a small beer garden at the front of the pub.
Parking is available in the Green car park.
Food available Wed to Sun.
Closed in 2019. Change of use to 1 x 4 bed and 1 x 2 bed annex approved July 2020 (19/00210/APP). But later app'n for change of use (20/0535/APP) was withdrawn in Aug 2022. Later "Householder" app'n (22/02490/APP) was commented on by CAMRA as ambiguous - Staus "Pending Consideration (12/3/23). Pub sold and new owner sought planning permission to permanently reinstate the pub (25/00073/ALB). However, property then found to be auctioned by Town & Country Auctions on 30 April. The auctioneer stated change of use permission from pub to dwellings was given in 2019 and “the property offers a unique investment opportunity or an ideal project for someone looking for an idyllic home on the village green”, but makes clear conversion works are incomplete, with internal renovations required. Planning application withdrawn 22 April 2025.
