This Pub is Permanently Closed
A traditional family-run free house with four hand pumps, although the beer is poured direct from the cask in a cool room behind the bar. The landlocked Ship is so-called as it was a stopping point for convicted prisoners being deported to Australia. There is a comfortable lounge area and a pleasant garden to the rear. Food is served at all sessions. The pub was voted most popular by the Sussex-wide bus to the pub group in 2012.
Now closed and due to be converted to a supermarket.
