This Pub is Permanently Closed
On 3 May 2023, City of Bradford MDC granted planning permission to convert the pub to residential use (planning ref. 23/00069/FUL). Soon afterwards, work commenced to convert the pub into its new use. The details below relate to its last use as a pub.
Comfortable, traditional, neighbourhood pub with an L-shaped lounge and a separate gin bar. Previously pubco owned, this pub became a freehouse in Feb 2014, probably saving it from the usual fate of closure and conversion. The venue is popular with the local community and is home to a thriving social club. The gin bar offers a quieter area that is open from 5pm. A sandwich shop (cold sandwiches only) with external servery has been added to the corner of the premises and is open 10.30am-2.00pm. A pizza and beer deal is offered on Friday and Saturday evenings. The pub is located alongside the main Leeds-Keighley (A657) road and served by a regular bus service.
